All you need for this project is a stainless steel or copper scrubby and some glue. I made these to give as gifts and everyone who received one was so amazed that they were just jars covered with a scrubby. I used half pint jars, unwound the scrubby, and cut it in half. One half of a scrubby fit over without having to put a base on it.

I just turned the edge up once on the bottom and hot-glued it in place. On the top, I turned the edge down twice and spot glued it. I added a fall leaf and a raffia bow to the top edge of the votive and put in a no-flame tea light. We do this project in an art class at school and the 5th graders just love it. What could be simpler than this?
